[E3] Driver: San Francisco

June 16th, 2010

First things first, no, I am not reporting live from E3. Which is a shame, because that would be pretty awesome. But I thought that as this is predominantly a gaming site, and we haven’t had too many updates recently, I’d do a news piece and share a few of my thoughts.

As I was looking through stuff from E3 for Valve’s latest trailer, I found a link to ‘Driver: San Francisco’. Immediately Portal 2, which I already know isn’t coming out until next year, was forgotten. I have long been a fan of Driver, and I’d heard rumours that a new one was in the works, but I’d not come across any definite news.

[EG/PS3] Blue Toad Murder Files

November 1st, 2009

You arrive in the quintessential English village of Little Riddle. It is a peaceful place, and you are in need of a break after your last intensive case as a Blue Toad detective. Then, as you are getting settled in, a murder is committed right in front of you. Looks like you’re not going to get that holiday after all…

Blue Toad Murder Files is a detective story and puzzle game for up to 4 players. Eurogamer was the first time this game has been on public display, and we were there on the first day. As one of the first people to play through Episode 1, I am finding it difficult to put into words how impressed I was by it.

[PS3/360] Brütal legend – Review

October 23rd, 2009

Ok, let me just start by saying that it’s hard to find a point to start on when this game is so god damn awesome. I know I’m meant to reveal this slowly and explain but just trust me, it is.

Well first let’s get a bit of the story background laid down first. Your character is Eddie Riggs a roadie who you see in the starting video is a bit behind with new music and wonders if he was born in the wrong times where metal is dead. But anyway he is then killed trying to save a member of the band,  some weird mystic stuff happens and you are in some other world. That’s pretty much it.

Eddy Riggs - Based on and voiced by Jack Black

[PS3] Fallout 3 DLC

September 19th, 2009

Fallout 3 DLC for the PS3 has finally been confirmed for release on Thursday 24th September. Previously the downloadable content has been available for 360 and PC for quite sometime now without any mention of release on the PS3.

This was until August when it was confirmed by Bethesda that all of the DLC which was Microsoft exclusive was to make a PSN appearance by the end of September (without confirming a date).

Now due to elimination and other sources it is now confirmed, with the first pack of 6 being released 24/09/09. The first pack to be released is Broken steel, which will extend the level limit from the disc-standard 20 to 30 including all new perks.
