[News] L4D2 Demo Later this month
October 16th, 2009Valve have announced that the Left4Dead2 demo will appear on PC and 360 on November 3rd, though Silver Live members will have to wait another week (November 10th) for the demo, and pre-orderer’s will get early access, getting their hands on some teaser zombie-killing on October 27th. The full game is available on November 17th.
All of the new boss infected zombies and melee weapons will be featuring in the demo, which includes gameplay from one of the campaigns (The Parish) and will allow up to four players to play together online, over LAN or splitscreen (360 only).
[Confirmed] L4D2 campaigns confirmed by acheivement list
October 12th, 2009An achievement list posted up on Xbox360Achievements seems to have confirmed the leaked campaign posters from Left4Dead2, among other things. This list puts Dead Center as the first campaign and Hard Rain second to last, completing the 5 campaigns that make up the game. (Dead Center, Dark Carnival, Swamp Fever, Hard Rain, The Parish)
Other details revealed are the use of Defibrillators to revive dead survivors, Bile Bombs (And presumably the collecting of boomer vomit vials from dead CEDA agents ties into this), a character called Moustachio and clown-nose honking. …Awesome.
And as ever with Valve, we get some awful puns as achievement titles, my favourites are “BRIDGE OVER TREBLED SLAUGHTER” and “A SPITTLE HELP FROM MY FRIENDS”, Groan. But in a good way.
