[DVD] Coraline

I’m not a big fan of the cinema version of 3D films, even though we have progressed from red/blue glasses to the sunglasses look, but there is, of course, another problem. When a film leaves the cinema that’s not the end, we have the DVD release, that brings a new problem in. How do you give someone, at home, the cinema experience of 3D.

[Movie] Avatar 3D

I’ve just returned from Avatar, the first James Cameron film in over a decade, and I will concede that it exceeded my very low expectations. Not by a great deal, but it did. That isn’t high praise, but if I told you everything now you’d stop reading. So, let’s got on with it. James Cameron’s Avatar in 3D.

[Movie] Up – 2D

10:30am on a Sunday isn’t my usual slot for watching a film, I normally go for a nice afternoon showing, but clearly when you have a specialist taste such as I clearly do, you have to expect films consigned to the death slots. My clearly niche film this time? Up. Yes, the new smash hit from Pixar, well new in the UK. That’s hardly an independent film or small film, I hear you cry. You are correct, I respond, but I wanted to see it in 2D.

[PSN] Final Fantasy 7 PSN Review

Well its been some time since my last review… like over two weeks and that is saying something as I used to write content frequently. But let me cut back to the chase, I have chosen a game to review that will give me the bang I need to come back to reviewing.
FF7 Jap

We all know this JRPG (If you love the franchise that is) it is Final Fantasy, and not just any Final Fantasy. This was the first Final Fantasy to become 3D. Dating back to 1997 here in European shores or earlier maybe 1995 for the lucky people that live in Japan. This game hit shelves across the globe and then soon within months became a phenomenon. Selling millions worldwide very rapidly it became the biggest in Square Soft now Square-Enix’s beloved JRPG Franchise.
