[FlashFriday] Robot Wants Puppy!

May 21st, 2010

Robot Want Puppy

Robot Wants Puppy is the aptly named sequel to Robot Wants Kitty, both of which are delightfully presented metroidesque platformers developed by Hamumu.

After guiding Robot through the first game, it appears a kitty on it’s own is not satisfactory, and a puppy must be obtained for Robot to be truly happy. In short, erm… Robot want puppy. Told you it was aptly named, didn’t I? You begin without any special abilities, as you’d expect, but at least you can jump straight away this time! You must work your way through a large, sprawling level, avoiding enemies and lasers as you gain new abilities, giving you access to more areas, and ever closer to the ultimate goal. Puppy.

[FlashFriday] Sushi Cat

March 26th, 2010

Sushi Cat is a Pachinko-esque game, which will be very familiar to those of you who’ve spent a period of time addicted to Peggle (Isn’t that pretty much everyone alive by now?). Developed by programmer JoeyBetz and artist Jimp, published by Armorgames. One things’s for sure, it’s chock full of KAWAII!!!! ^_^

[FlashFriday] Insurgo

January 29th, 2010

“Build as quick as you can, as high as you can!”

That’s all voidSkipper (Another pesky developer without an easily findable website to link to… I’ll have to go with his Kongregate account) needs to say about Insurgo, I’m going to say a little more, else this’d be a very short article indeed!

Insurgo is a lovely little physics based game from 2007, and the aim is as simple as it’s tagline. You begin with a small tower base, you have the ability to add rods of a limited length, the higher up you get, the more points you get. Everyone loves points right? If you love points, you’re in luck, because you know what happens if you extend the highest point of the tower multiple times in quick succession? Oh yes, multipliers. We do love a good multiplier.

[FlashFriday] Shopping Cart Hero

December 11th, 2009

Apologies for my lack of article last week, anyone would think I had a hectic schedule or something wouldn’t they? As it stands, I’m just a forgetful, lazy bugger without an amazing immune system. If I were ever to try to take over the world, all it’d take to thwart me would be a bit of a cold. My plans would be ruined, ruuuiiinneed!

So yes, Flash games. That would be the topic of choice what with this being FlashFriday and all. This week I’ve dropped the two-games-per-post thing in the interests of actually getting this out on time, we’ll see if it stays this way or not in the future. (Coincidentally, did you know the comments section is a great place to tell me I suck? You should totally try it)

[FlashFriday] Tower of Greed/MoneySeize

November 27th, 2009

Sorry for last week’s failure, won’t happen again if I can help it!

Welcome to FlashFriday, where I ramble nonsensically about a couple of vaguely linked Flash games I’ve found on t’interweb whilst my readers ignore me and simply click the links and play, because games are more interesting than me.

And rightly so! I’ve never been addicted to reading the same thing over and over again, though I’ve certainly gotten addicted to today’s Flash fare, two lovely retro-styled platformers Tower of Greed and MoneySeize, which will hopefully grip you as much as they have me.
