Halo, we’ve all been there, an awesome masterpiece that people should take the time to play and admire. This masterpiece has many aspects you should take note to however this is not for the faint hearted as the game has some very unique things that only other games have copied.
First one of these points being the games scale. It takes a combination of a truly catching storyline and futuristic theme to steal the player into fantasy world where humanity is fighting for survival. I don’t know about you but a story isn’t good unless there is something to solve and in this case it would be survival.
Not to take offence to anyone here but this supports my first law of relativity, “Gaylo law”. It’s a law that I have found to be 100% true to date. I will cover the topic in a few bullet points.
- If you like Halo* the game you are not gay** (as found 99% of the time)
- If you do not like Halo* you have an 85% chance of being gay.
- There is a direct correlation to how gay** you are to how much you like the game Halo*
*Halo is in reference to Halo combat Evolved as the law does not have as much effect on latest releases e.g. Halo 2 and Halo 3
**gay as in type 1 gayness (type 1 gay does not necessarily show to be gay, type 2 gay is infectious and is spread through the air)
I have a few theories as to why there is a great correlation between these two variables but I think the main reason is because of the master chief himself. Have you noticed his body armour. Well… being more specific his trunk armour. [Ed - No as most people usually won't be staring at his crotch like you have] He’s obviously male, why would his voice sound so low pitch? Well he has a female inside his head for those who don’t know. I think you see where that’s going.
However I am still looking for theories as to why there is this correlation so please post your theories below….I seem to have got sidetracked from the Halo article. Oh well…
This article is for comedy purposes, k? No getting your panties in a twist, if you’re into that sort of thing.

As much as I don’t particularly enjoy Halo, and as much as I like men, I still find this theory to be wrong. Somehow.
elaborate on somehow…
its proven correct so far :D
I just, feel it’s wrong :P
There’s gotta be -some- straight guys out there with good taste in games…
*Raises hand*. I’m a card-carrying member of the straight camp and I think Halo’s pretty crap. More crap than pretty. Oh, and I didn’t like Modern Warfare 2 either.
Oh please, Stone. You’re so far in the closet you’re practically in Narnia.
This is not true. I am barely past the coats.
In the closet, nearly in the closet, out of the closet.
S’all gay to me.
I’m gay, and I like Halo. The two or three most crazy-obsessive (one guy made a replica of the Pillar of Autumn out of LEGO, which was awesome in a slightly creepy you’re-a-bit-too-into-this way) Halo fans I know are gay too, and they’re pretty damn good at the games. (I’m -okay-, fwiw; campaign on Heroic, generally sort of middle-ranking on the odd occasion I try multiplayer.)
I know it’s a joke article, and I’m not offended or anything (more amused), but seriously, you guys should really make up your minds whether you want this site to be effectively a multi-user blog — not that there’s anything wrong with that — or an interesting and different (semi-)professional gaming site. If you want to aim for the latter, and I honestly think it’s doable, shit like this is not going to fly.
And besides, the more it tends towards a ‘proper’ gaming site, the more free stuff is going to get sent your way. And we all like free stuff, right? :)
i’m admiting now that the teory does need a little work. But i see stone why you don’t like Halo, its not because you could be gay but more to the fact you don’t seem to like a good FPS. Halo was way ahead of its time.
It depends on what type gay they. I only outline type 1 & 2 on the post. :D
I wouldn’t say that I don’t like a good FPS. Halo was not as ahead of its time as some people seem to think. I can go back to my N64 and play Goldeneye, that game was ahead of its time, and Halo seems to use a lot of elements that you would find in that game.
@Stone: Don’t even try, I’ve spent an awfully long time trying to point this out.
@Anon: We’ve been running MTTG with an emphasis on user content, mainly because we can’t get enough regular writers to supply enough posts to keep the site running, s’all still a hobby right now. We’d love to make it to some sort of semi-professional status, but it won’t happen for a while, and in terms of writers, in the short term, the more the merrier.
This article was born out of a bit of an in-joke, and probably needed more meat before being pushed out, but apart from that I don’t see why it’d be a problem. We like the humour, if we can actually pull it off.
You realise Tom more people would write if you put their finished posts on the site within a few weeks rather than this, seemingly failed article the day it was written.
@Joe: I didn’t put this up, and I’ve already spoken to you about your in-holding article.
Joe your article is scheduled, Im getting every post written ready and published so we can have articles up fast :P
good. And Tom I have 2 articles that are ready, one of which i know is going in another feature. But seriously me and brett seem to be the only person writing game reviews for this game site.
@Joe: I write about games.
As does Jowan (Alongside Brett).
Here are all of my posts, here are yours.
