Hello and welcome, yes, it’s that time of the week again already… Weekly Play time!
Weekly Play is where I’m lazy and get you to write my article for m- I MEAN, WHERE WE LISTEN TO YOUR VIEWS AND FIND OUT WHAT YOU THINK OF WHAT YOU’VE BEEN PLAYING (And it’s not lazy at all, honest).
Anyways, yes. This week I returned to Cave Story to try in vain to beat Hell, the very, very last level. Yeah, no. Definitely impossible. I’ll keep trying, but I’m afraid I’m a little boring this week.
Oh, and Borderlands finished downloading today. I’ll play that this week!

Right, this is slightly late. :P
Been playing Lego Batman, as promised.
Well, It’s easy to begin with. So far I’ve only played through the Batman and Robin missions, and I’ve got the Super Hero part (collecting a certain amount of single Lego pieces – “coins”) in every level. With no lives you can’t die, you just lose some “coins”. I only had to replay one level because i realised how easy it was to get Super Hero and actually tried the next time.
Couple of bad points though. The first frame of every cutscene is displayed for about 5 seconds before it loads.
But the worst thing has to be the gameplay mechanics (if thats what you call them). They’re exactly the same as Lego Star Wars and apparently Lego Indiana Jones. I hate the camera view, because you can’t change it. But i don’t care.
It’s a great game if you want a bit of fun. If you’re looking for a more serious game, I would look elsewhere.
Got Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2 recently. I never played the original, but some people say it’s a bit samey. I like the story, although it sends two rival messgaes – one is “Lol explosions!” the other – “War is teh serious!” The fact that you can shoot an automatic pistol whilst driving a snowmobile off a giant ramp, sort of detracts from the serious tone that it’s pushing. Nevertheless, I found it enjoyable, particularly the last couple of levels.
The main campaign lasts about 5-6 hours, the rest of the game you’ll be focusing on multiplayer with its ever present addictive rewards system, the ‘pimp my gun’ feature will keep an idiot like me fascinated for weeks.
I have also got Borderlands and been playing that alot. Online is brill especially when you have 3 teammates who can fast level you :D. Lso still playing COD 4, and FIFA 10. Also decided to return to a bit of Halo recently and that quick 3 matches were well worth it :D.
AND ALSO Yu-Gi-Oh! 9Ds Starlight Monster Duel whatever its called for the DS.
I’ve yet to take it online Joe, but I’m enjoying it a hell of a lot. Level 27 Hunter/Gunslinger with a set of bitching liquid snipers and a revolver than does about the same damage. Plus my bullets pretty much ignore shields now, thanks to the hunter’s skillset.
Leaping over cover, aiming down and blasting a bandit in the head with the revolver for a one shot kill is possibly the most awesome thing ever.
I’ve been replaying gears of war 2. The first time round it was crap, and once again this time round it is crap. I’ve begun to play it again just to see weather in time it got better, but no it didn’t. Admittedly, the game play is rather good, but the story line is so bad it’s actually funny. You get eaten by a giant worm which has 4 heart and jesus christ it’s horrific.
I have also been playing dead rising, which i might add the following..

Who cares about the story line, yet i thoroughly enjoy shoving nogvelty masks obnto zombies heads. Just complete WIN!
