Today is the 10th anniversary of SEGA’s last entrant into the console market, the Dreamcast. And Stone (Reviewer of such games as… Farming Simulator 2009) puts it far better than I could,
“I was 9 when the Dreamcast hit. I have just one regret from my time with the machine. It is simply that I no longer own it. I would love to have my Dreamcast back again. Well, I would love to own any Dreamcast again. You can say that nostalgia makes me say these things, that thinking back to being nine is the only reason I would possibly say that. I don’t care. What matters here, what really, truly matters, is that I loved that console, and if I could play it again, if I could just go back and hold that controller and play those games I would. OK so history may look back and say that the Dream Cast lost Generation Six, but to me it didn’t. To me you can keep your over-sized black boxes with a letter on the top. Halo is overrated anyway. Give me back SEGA’s last hoorah, and I will be happy.”
